Privacy policy
Summary
The extension is designed to not collect personal data, trading data, or analytics for us. It does not send your Zone activity to our servers - we do not operate application servers for the extension. Optional layout preferences may be stored only on your device using your browser’s storage APIs.
What we do not collect
We do not intentionally collect, log, or transmit to ourselves:
- Your Definedge account credentials, client codes, or session tokens;
- Watchlists, orders, positions, P&L, or any other trading or portfolio information;
- Chart data, scanner results, or report contents for analytics or marketing;
- Contact details, device identifiers, or usage telemetry for profiling.
Where the extension runs
The extension is granted host access only for https://zone.definedgesecurities.com/*
(see the Chrome extension manifest). Scripts and styles run in your browser in the context of pages
you open on that origin, like other extensions you install.
Local storage on your device
To improve usability, the extension may save non-sensitive UI preferences (for example, sidebar
or toolbar visibility) using localStorage or similar browser storage. That data stays
on your machine under your browser profile and is not transmitted to us.
Permissions
The extension requests the minimum permissions needed to inject its scripts and styles into Zone.
It does not request broad permissions across all websites. Exact permissions are listed in the
Chrome Web Store listing and in the distributed manifest.json.
Third parties
Google / Chrome: When you install from the Chrome Web Store, Google’s terms and privacy policies apply to that platform and to Chrome itself.
Definedge: Your use of Zone, authentication, and any data processing by Definedge Securities or its affiliates is governed by their own terms and policies. This extension is not published or endorsed by them unless they say otherwise.
Feedback: If you submit feedback through a form or email you choose to use, that channel’s provider may process what you submit according to their own policy.
Children
The extension is not directed at children. Zone is a professional trading platform; do not use the extension in violation of Definedge’s or your local rules.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated page.

Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Dx, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.
Nature of the software
The extension is an independent, unofficial add-on. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Definedge Securities, its brokers, or any exchange unless explicitly stated in writing by them. All trademarks and service marks belong to their respective owners.
No warranty
The extension is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the extension will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or compatible with every Zone update or browser configuration.
Trading and financial risk
Trading in securities and derivatives involves substantial risk of loss. The extension does not provide investment, legal, or tax advice. Any UI change (including automation of clicks, chart tools, exports, or alerts) is a convenience only. You remain solely responsible for your trading decisions, order entry, risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and with Definedge’s terms of service.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the authors, contributors, or distributors of Dx be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or trading losses of any kind - whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise - arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the extension, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions that do not allow some of the above exclusions or limitations, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law. In no case shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid us for the extension; where the extension is offered free of charge, that amount is zero.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the extension’s authors and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the extension, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights (including Definedge’s terms).
No guarantee of Zone behaviour
Zone is a third-party application that may change without notice. The extension may stop working partially or fully after Zone or Chrome updates. We are under no obligation to maintain, update, or fix the extension.
Termination
You may stop using the extension at any time by removing it from Chrome. We may discontinue distribution or updates at any time without liability.
Severability & entire agreement
If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms, together with the privacy policy above, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the extension.
Governing law
To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising from these terms or the extension shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction applicable to you and the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection rules where you live require otherwise.
